Please note that this site is early in the launch stage so there may be bugs or issues. Please advise us of any problems so we can correct them.
Note that any Listing that indicates “SAMPLE” is not real and there for demonstration purposes only. It will take time to build up the site with real listings and slowly remove the sample listings.
Launching this site is a process so please share the link with friends and business/service providers and encourage them to sign up. Over time this will become a great tool for the general public and a place for local service providers to promote their offerings.

HOW TO USE THIS SITE
The site is generally easy to navigate. Detailed explanations of how to use it are provided by clicking on the appropriate Tabs or Menu Links.
Scroll down to the Categories and explore a few of the Sample Directory posts. This will give you an idea of the output created by businesses or service providers posting their offerings. This is one of the ways you can find the biz or services you are looking for.
You can also search for businesses or services. Unfortunately, the search engine is very fussy and only returns results for a search word that is used as part of the posting title or description.
This means that service providers must utilize many obvious, common, related words when posting their biz or service. Think like a customer and use words that they would use when searching for your biz, service or product. And sometimes, customers may have to try more than one search word.
THE GENERAL DIRECTORY AND THE NEEDS DIRECTORY
Whether you want to post your BIZ or your SERVICE, or you want to post A NEED (something you are looking for), you start by clicking on the ADD NEW LISTING button or Menu Link. You may have to Register or Login first.
This takes you to a page where you choose either a GENERAL listing or a NEED listing. Select the appropriate one and you will see a Pricing Plan that lists the features available for your post.
Click on CONTINUE and then fill out the form as desired. Adding photos is important for biz/service listings. You also need to select a Location and a Category and Sub-Category if available. If your Listing doesn’t fit an existing Category, please contact us and we can add one. When done, click to agree with the Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions, then click on SUBMIT Listing.
This takes you to a Preview Page and if everything looks okay to you, then click on the green CONTINUE button at the top of your listing. Or click on the EDIT button if you need to make changes.
Please note that your GENERAL Biz or Service listing will be reviewed, and it may take up to 24 hours to complete the review.
Note that with a NEED Listing, there is no review or waiting time for approval…it goes live immediately.

FEATURED LISTINGS
Under the GENERAL listings tab, you have the option to do a FEATURED LISTING. These listings will showcase your listing for a period of time on the front page. However, these listings are limited so use them sparingly.
Click on the FEATURED LISTINGS tab and follow the process similar to other listings. NOTE: Make sure your Featured Listing is how you want it before you click on Submit and Review, because editing a Featured Listing will result in a General listing only and you will have to repeat the process.
To ADD A PHOTO TO YOUR PROFILE, go to My Dashboard, select MY PROFILE and you will see where you can add an image (top left). Then go to the bottom of the page and click on SAVE CHANGES. You will now have a profile picture.

ATTENTION BIZ & SERVICES USERS (excluding Local non-business Costa Rican Citizens providing Individual & Freelancer Services).
After JANUARY 31, 2026 the Free Trial period ends and you will have to pay a small fee to continue to post your Biz & Services. Our planned fee structure is as follows (usd): NOTE: NEED Listing users are Always Free and exempt from any cost.

Six months $99
One Year $199
We will be providing more information and adding the fee structure system in the coming months. The qualifications for continued CR Citizen Service Providers Always Free Access have been developed and will be fully provided going forward.
Generally, a Local Citizen who works for himself/herself without a business storefront and limited helpers, will qualify for Free Access.
